Skare Ozbolt said on Thursday that the possibility of her party
entering a pre-election coalition with the Croatian Social Liberal
Party (HSLS) was reduced to a minimum. #L#
The DC described last night's decision of the HSLS leadership to
change nominations on election lists in some constituencies, as
unacceptable.
According to the decision, the first candidate on the slate for the
Zagreb area would be a member of the HSLS, while a DC member should
head the slate for southern Croatia (the areas of Split and
Dubrovnik). The changes stipulate that in eastern Croatia, a DC
candidate should head the slate for the Osijek area, and an HSLS
member the joint list for the Vukovar area.
She added that the proposed changes rendered chances for a DC-HSLS
coalition very slim.
