Other solutions are still possible, such as "the entire Adriatic
being proclaimed a joint ecological zone," Rupel said.
He said that Slovenia had no "restrictive measures" against Croatia
in mind at this time, but that it had so far been Croatia's "sole
advocate" in its efforts to join the EU and NATO.
"As you know, Croatia used to be supported by Italy and Austria, but
this circle is decreasing, so Slovenia is the only country lobbying
for Croatia's interests in the EU," he said.
Rupel added that lately he had had doubts whether Croatia indeed
wanted to join the said organisations.
