ZAGREB, Aug 6 (Hina) - The Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) asked parliament on Wednesday to put its proposal for Croatia to declare an economic zone in the Adriatic to the vote at the first session of parliament in the autumn. The
party recalled that parliament had discussed its proposal for establishing an economic zone in July 2001 and charged the government with compiling reports on the fishing stock in the Adriatic and the delimitation of the sea border with neighbouring countries. The government was also asked then to estimate the cost of control of the economic zone and how its proclamation might affect Croatia's international position. Since the government has not carried out these tasks to date, the HSP urged it to complete them by September.(hina) vm sb
