"If we wish to develop good neighbourly relations it would be much
wiser and more purposeful if we tried to build them without any
blackmailing, setting of conditions and ultimatums. We need to sit
down and talk about how the entire Adriatic Sea system will function
in terms of navigation, ecological and biological protection, and
the preservation of fish," Tomcic told reporters on the Brijuni
Isles, where he opened a session of parliament's committee on
internal affairs and national security.
He said Slovenia's latest diplomatic actions were a sign of certain
pressure on Croatia.
