LJUBLJANA, Aug 29 (Hina) - Nearly two-thirds of Slovenes regard
relations with Croatia as poor while more than half believe
Slovenia's diplomacy gives in too much to Croatia, according to a
public opinion poll the results of which were published by Slovene
daily Delo on its front page on Friday. #L#
As many as 63.3 percent of 716 people questioned say Slovenia-
Croatia relations are poor, 24.8 percent say they are neither good
nor bad, 6.7 percent that they are good, while 4.9 percent was
undecided.
The percentage of those who view relations between the two
countries as poor has doubled from 2001. In its commentary, Delo
says this is due to announcements that Croatia will proclaim an
economic zone in the Adriatic, and goes on to say that relations
could be described as a cold war.
