The acts of the deliberate setting of fires are acts of terrorism
for the HSP, and the government should also treat the issue in that
way, and launch investigations in causes of fires and motives of
arsonists, according to a press release issued by this opposition
party on Saturday.
The HSP suggests that in the future, 30 percent of the revenue
collected from local tourist taxes should be earmarked for funds
necessary for equipment of fire-fighting units in southern
Croatia. In addition to this, a network of airports for fire-
fighting planes would be constructed in the region, according to
the party's proposal.
The HSP suggests that as of next year, the government should
particularly stimulate and organise the payment of fire insurance
premiums in insurance companies.
