BENKOVAC PROCLAIMS GOTOVINA HONORARY CITIZEN

BENKOVAC, June 12 (Hina) - On the occasion of the Benkovac Day and the Feast of St. Anthony, the assembly of this southern Croatian town conducted a commemorative meeting on Thursday and announced awards to be presented to individuals and institutions. General Ante Gotovina was proclaimed honorary citizen of Benkovac for his actions in the "Storm" military operation which liberated the Benkovac region from the Serb occupation. #L# A charter proclaiming Gotovina an honorary citizen will be subsequently presented to his family.
