This way not only the communication of Croats with their ethnic
motherland will be greatly facilitated, but they will be also able
to travel to Croatia more easily, for which there is great need and
interest, says the press release.
The decision would also improve and boost cooperation of local
Croat cultural, church, education and information institutions
with those in the motherland, say the Croats from Serbia and
Montenegro.
"Croats in Serbia and Montenegro believe that the Croatian
government decision to suspend the visa regime for Serbia and
Montenegro citizens will contribute to the further normalisation
of relations between Serbia and Montenegro and Croatia, in which
they are vitally interested. If this decision is adopted, it will be
another reason for us to believe that this will be the start of
setting up good neighbourly relations, which will improve the
position of the Croat minority in Serbia and Montenegro," the press
release says.
