LJUBLJANA, May 19 (Hina) - The Slovene environment ministry said on
Monday the electrical bill which, according to Slovene sources, the
Croatian Power Company (HEP) sent to the Slovene government last
week, was too high. #L#
"The HEP is asking for almost US$54 million, which is excessive and
unrealistic," says the ministry.
Slovene officials say that the HEP's bill for electricity which was
never delivered to Croatia from mid-2002 to April this year, when
the HEP again started receiving electricity from the jointly-owned
Krsko nuclear power plant, was "excessive and calculated on
unrealistic suppositions".
