Wednesday at which a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed harmonising further development of railway traffic in the Danube-Adriatic region.

directors of seven railway companies gathered in the G-4 group was
held in Budapest on Wednesday at which a Memorandum of Cooperation
was signed harmonising further development of railway traffic in
the Danube-Adriatic region. #L#
The directors of the railways and ministerial representatives from
Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Ukraine, Russia and Croatia signed the
memorandum which should contribute to realising various projects
and cooperation between the railways.
The G-4 group was founded in Vienna in December 1992 and its first
members were Austrian Railways, Slovene Railways, Hungarian
Railways and Croatian Railways. They were later joined by the
Railways of the Republic of Slovakia, the Railways of the
Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina and a private Austrian-Hungarian
concern, GYSEV.
The role of the G-4 group is to promote joint interests in the area
between the Danube river and the Adriatic.
