BANJA LUKA, April 21 (Hina) - The president of the Bosnian Serb
entity, Dragan Cavic, said on behalf of the Serb Democratic Party on
Monday the Republic of Srpska (RS) interior ministry should step up
security around opposition leaders, especially the president of
the Social Democrats, Milorad Dodik. #L#
Cavic said his statement came in the wake of speculation in the
Sarajevo-based Slobodna Bosna weekly that Dodik might be
assassinated because a week before last month's slaying of Serbian
Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic he told Djindjic and Serbian Justice
Minister Vladan Batic what he knew about the collusion of criminals
and terrorists from Serbia and RS and announced armed action.
"One shouldn't brush aside the latest public statements opposition
leader Milorad Dodik has made because they call for stepping up
security around him," said Cavic.
