After the indictment was read out, Maglov, a former commander of the
73rd military police battalion, pleaded not guilty.
Maglov is also known as a witness in the trial of eight former
military police officers accused of war crimes at Split's military
prison Lora.
In mid-1999 the Split court sentenced Maglov to two years in prison
for abusing his office to smuggle cars and sugar from the Bosnian
seaside town of Neum into Croatia. He received the final ruling
while he was in custody, awaiting trial for drug trafficking.
