BANJA LUKA, Dec 17 (Hina) - Bosnian Serb Prime Minister Dragan
Mikerevic tendered his resignation on Friday afternoon with the explanation
that he is not ready to accept and carry out "the High Representative's threats
and ultimatums on the constitutional reorganisation of Republika Srpska and
Bosnia-Herzegovina," which he said represented a "harsh violation of the
Constitution".Mikerevic said that when he was sworn in he committed himself to
carrying out his duties only in line with the Constitution and the law, and
that with his resignation he wanted to be consistent with that commitment.
He also said that unlike High Representative Paddy Ashdown, he believed
in a Bosnia-Herzegovina comprised of two entities, Republika Srpska and the
Croat-Muslim federation.
