ZAGREB, Dec 9 (Hina) - The EU High Representative for the CommonForeign and Security Policy, Javier Solana, on Wednesday held talkswith Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic about the statecommunity of Serbia and Montenegro and
its relations with the EU,sources from Brussels reported.
ZAGREB, Dec 9 (Hina) - The EU High Representative for the Common
Foreign and Security Policy, Javier Solana, on Wednesday held talks with
Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic about the state community of Serbia
and Montenegro and its relations with the EU, sources from Brussels
reported.Solana said the EU would continue to support the state community of the
two republics. He highlighted it was necessary that officials of Serbia and
Montenegro continue to cooperate so as to make progress on the path to the
EU.
The High Representative said the European Commission could draw up a
feasibility study for Serbia and Montnenegro by the start of 2005, but added
that Belgrade and Podgorica needed to intensify efforts in implementing reforms
so as to strengthen the rule of law.
