VARAZDIN, Dec 6 (Hina) - The presidential candidate of the Social
Liberals (HSLS), Djurdja Adlesic, has said she will advocate the creation of
more favourable conditions for domestic and foreign investment if she is
elected Croatia's new head of state because this is what the country needs.Presenting her candidacy in the northern town of Varazdin on Monday,
Adlesic said the economy would not gain momentum unless corruption was
eliminated. She added another requirement was an effective administration.
According to Adlesic, incumbent President Stjepan Mesic had not exerted
his powers to create a climate facilitating entrepreneurship.
She said that many mocked the office of president of the republic with
their candidacies.
