The Homeland Movement Face (Otacestveni pokret Obraz in Serbian) calls on citizens on its website www.srb-obraz.org to assist in the "Every Serb is Radovan" campaign which, the website says, "wants to contribute, within their possibilities, to the fight for the defence of the greatest living Serb - Dr. Radovan Karadzic".
The website describes the war crimes suspect as a national hero and says the "Serbian people's response to this endeavour has been exceptional". It also brings a Vojvodjanska Bank transfer account in which money may be deposited to help the campaign.
The telephone numbers mentioned on the website indicate that the movement is based in Serbia. Its coordinator for the Bosnian Serb entity is Sinisa Markovic, until recently the spokesman and one of the leaders of the Democratic People's Alliance, a political party born after the disintegration of the Serbian People's Alliance, which was headed by ex-Bosnian Serb entity president Biljana Plavsic, who is currently serving a Hague war crimes tribunal sentence in a Swedish prison.
