The helicopters were taken over by Air Force Commander General Viktor Koprivnjak at the Air Force Repair and Maintenance Institute in Velika Gorica, just south of Zagreb.
The state-of-the-art equipment was installed free of charge as part of a USD 1.5 million military project by the Czech firm Aviation Service from Prague, which was chosen by the US government.
The helicopters conform to NATO standards and may also be used on peace missions outside Croatia and in military exercises involving NATO and Partnership for Peace member states.
