Austria is aware that it is important for every country to have clear European prospects," Sanader said. He said Croatia expected the European Council to issue the exact date of the start of Croatia's EU entry talks in mid-December.
The Austrian president expressed "great respect towards the Croatian people, particularly after seeing the progress made over the past several years".
He said Austria believed that three things were important for its relations with Croatia -- the issuing of the exact date for the start Croatia-EU entry talks, better investment possibilities and bilateral cooperation,
The two officials also talked about the issue of archive materials and the Krsko nuclear power plant.
