"This visit will most definitely contribute to the strengthening of the two countries' relations which have a shared history, culture and spiritual roots," one of the two leaders of the Republic of Some Marino, Captain Regent Giuzeppe Arzilli. said.
Stressing that the visit which Croatian and San Marino officials have exchanged so far and agreements they signed had strengthen the economic, cultural and tourist exchange between the two countries, Arzilli said and added that the two new agreements that were signed today would advance the two countries' cooperation.
Deep ties between the two coasts of the Adriatic were additionally encouraged today with the European integration process, Arzilli said.
Croatia and San Marino signed two bilateral agreement today -- the agreement on avoiding double taxation and the agreement on cooperation in tourism.
The Croatian President said that the two agreements represent a legal framework for advancing bilateral cooperation.
Later today, Mesic is scheduled to meet representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture of San Marino and Croats living in San Marino.
