The strike was "temporarily suspended" following mediation by President Janez Drnovsek, which resulted in the restoration of contact between the journalists' trade union and the the Chamber of Commerce, which represents the employers, the striking committee reported late Tuesday evening.
Negotiations on a collective agreement are set to start on Thursday.
"The strike will resume if the negotiations are found not to be proceeding towards an adequate settlement of the legal, financial, social and professional status of journalists in Slovenia," the journalists' trade union said in a statement.
