He said Croatia was in the process of defining parliament's role in negotiations with the EU, which he added made the experience of countries which completed the negotiations, like Bulgaria, valuable. He added the Croatian negotiations were expected to begin next year.
A parliamentary delegation headed by Seks yesterday held talks with Bulgarian Parliament Speaker Ognjan Gerdzikov, President Georgi Parvanov, Deputy Prime Minister Plamen Panajotov, PM Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, and the chairmen of Bulgaria's parliamentary committees on European integration, and foreign affairs, defence and security.
Seks said the Croatian parliamentary committee on foreign affairs would soon visit Bulgaria.
Speaking of his meeting with the Bulgarian PM, Seks said Croatia was once again given strong support for European integration.
"We estimated that Croatia's entry into the EU and the North Atlantic Alliance is significant also for the security and stability of the entire Southeast Europe," said Seks.
