ZAGREB, Sept 18 (Hina) - The Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) is notreserved towards a possibility of including other parties in its itscoalition with the Social Democrats (SDP) in some constituencies, theHSS chief Zlatko Tomcic said after the party presidency's session inZagreb on Saturday.
ZAGREB, Sept 18 (Hina) - The Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) is not reserved towards a possibility of including other parties in its its coalition with the Social Democrats (SDP) in some constituencies, the HSS chief Zlatko Tomcic said after the party presidency's session in Zagreb on Saturday.

Tomcic reiterated that the HSS decided to make coalitions primarily with the SDP in all counties and county capitals.

The HSS presidency today considered a proposal of another leading opposition party, the Croatian People Party (HNS), for forming a coalition before the elections.

Tomcic said his party was open for coalitions before and after the elections and it was going to consult with its main partner, the SDP, on the matter.

The HSS Presidency confirmed that it would support the candidacy of the incumbent Croatian President Stjepan Mesic for his second term. The HSS supported Mesic also in the 2000 presidential race.
