KLIS, Aug 24 (Hina) - President Stjepan Mesic has said that no one canprove that Mile Budak was not a member of the Nazi puppet governmentduring World War Two in Croatia, which passed racial laws as a resultof which thousands of
people were killed. The Croatian government on Tuesday reiteratedits condemnation of the memorial plaque honouring Mile Budak, a memberof the World War Two Ustasha government and writer, and said that itshould be removed as soon as possible. Justice Minister Vesna Skare-Ozbolt has saidthat a memorial plaque in Sveti Rok honouring Mile Budak, a member ofthe World War Two Ustasha government and writer, could be removed inaccordance with the new law on criminal proceedings which takes effecton 1 October this year.
