The 13-14 April joint conference will focus on the topic "Western Balkans - towards a more integrated Europe", bringing together MEPs as well as deputies from national parliaments of EU member-states.
The conference will be co-chaired by EP President Jerzy Buzek and by Laszlo Kover, the head of the parliament of Hungary, which is currently holding the six-month EU rotating presidency.
According to the programme of this joint parliamentary meeting, the event will be addressed also by European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, who visited Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia this past week, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and Croatian Parliament Speaker Luka Bebic.
