Croatia and Turkey opened their EU accession negotiations on the same day, 3 October 2005.

(Hina) - Croatian President Ivo Josipovic will
officially visit Turkey on 13-15 March and hold talks with his host,
Turkish President Abdullah Gul, and other officials on bilateral
relations, developments in the world and the two countries' European
Union membership aspirations.
