The leader of Croatia's strongest opposition party told reporters the
meeting only focused on problems relating to the Zagrepcanka scandal
and not on those regarding relations within the city branch, which he
said would be discussed on Monday.
Racan said that the publication of the "It's true!" advertisement in
newspapers was a political mistake.
Asked if the SDP considered the possibility of relieving Bandic of his
duties in the City Council and the party, Racan said his party would
assess the gravity of the situation. He added that it was much more
important to see if any other mistakes had been made in the
Zagrepcanka case, such as whether the sale agreement was detrimental
to the City or not.
