Primorac, who on Friday received Serbia's Minister of Science and
Environment Protection, Aleksandar Popovic, said that both Croatia and
Serbia were reforming their educational and scientific systems and
that both countries would like to improve cooperation in this field.
"On behalf of the Croatian government I have offered assistance in
areas in which Croatian scientists have excellent results, such as
genetics and forensic genetics, and Serbia has offered assistance in
the areas in which it is successful," Primorac said.
The Serbian minister said that it would be important to engage also
Slovenia, Hungary and Italy in joint scientific projects.
The two ministers agreed that it was necessary to promote cooperation
in the entire region.
