Ministry said that competent bodies failed to find Boskovski and would issue a warrant for his arrest.
SKOPJE, May 4 (Hina) - A former Macedonian interior minister, Ljube
Boskovski, was arrested on Tuesday in line with an order by an
investigating judge, Boskovski's attorneys said, while a spokesperson
for the Macedonian Interior Ministry said that competent bodies failed
to find Boskovski and would issue a warrant for his arrest.#L#
The Interior Ministry accused Boskovski of having ordered the murder
of six Pakistani and one Indian immigrants in 2002 to show that the
then government, headed by VMRO-DPMNE party, was part of the
anti-terrorist coalition.
The Macedonian parliament will discuss the case tomorrow.
In the meantime, the Pakistani Interior Ministry welcomed the decision
of the Macedonian government, announcing that it would seek damages of
two million dollars for each Pakistani citizen.
