about his possible links to the perpetrators of the terrorist attack
in Madrid on March 11, the Sarajevo-based Dnevni Avaz daily reported

Dnevni Avaz quoted a Spanish journalist working with La Nueva Espana
newspaper as saying that Sjekirica had been told by investigators that
he would not have to report to the police anymore and that he was
cleared of suspicion of being connected to the Madrid train bombings,
which killed 191 people.
"The police questioned him only in the context of his links to persons
implicated with terrorism," journalist Vinzente Montes said.
Sjekirica lived for a year in a rented apartment owned by Tunisian
national Serhan Abdelmajid, who is regarded as leader of the group
responsible for the terror attack. Sjekirica apparently moved out of
the apartment three years ago.
After the questioning, Sjekirica left for the northern town of Oviedo
where his mother lives.
