Sources close to the government have confirmed that the information
referred to six mass graves. Republika Srpska institutions have
forwarded information to the Commission referring to the events which
took place on 10-19 July 1995.
The entity's government formed the Commission in December 2003 at the
initiative of the House for Human Rights and after 48 complaints filed
by mothers from Srebrenica.
A former judge of the entity's Constitutional Court, Marko Arsovic
was the first appointed head of the commission. Arsovic was, however,
relieved of his duty on April 5 and replaced by Bogdanic in line with
a decision by High Representative Paddy Ashdown.
