The bodies of 30 victims of Serb attacks on the village of Tordinci in
1991 have been recovered from two mass graves in fields near the
village and 13 of them have been identified by their families,
Assistant Minister Ivan Grujic told reporters on Tuesday.
The exhumation began on March 10.
Grujic said that the victims had been originally buried in a mass
grave in front of the village church but were transferred in 1995/96
while that part of the country was under UN administration.
Information about the sites to which they had been transferred was
obtained from people who had been involved in the transfer, he added.
Grujic said that test digs would continue in the area because of
reports from several sources that about 200 victims had been initially
buried in the mass grave in front of the parish church in Tordinci.
