ZAGREB, April 22 (Hina) - The head of the Slovakian parliament's Foreign affairs Committee, Jan Figel, arrived in Zagreb on Thursday on an officials visit at the invitation of his Croatian counterpart Neven Jurica, the Croatian
parliament's public relations office said in a statement.

an officials visit at the invitation of his Croatian counterpart Neven

During talks with Figel, Jurica said Croatia and Slovakia had same
objectives on the foreign political front. He said that after it won
the invitation for negotiations on the EU entry, Zagreb expected more
intensified bilateral cooperation with Bratislava, the statement said.
Jurica congratulated his Slovak counterpart on his country's joinin
NATO and the EU. and expressed hope Slovakia would support Croatia's
candidacy for a non-pemanent member of the UN Security Council in
2007.
Figel said Croatia was on a good path and expressed convistion the
European Council would confirm Croatia's candidacy status in June.
