ZAGREB, April 8 (Hina) - The leader of the recently established
Croatian Populists (HN) party, Mislav Zagar, on Thursday once again
criticised the leader of the Croatian People's Party (HNS) and
Parliament Vice President Vesna Pusic.#L#
Pusic allegedly said at a panel debate in Istria that Bosnian Croats
accused by the war crimes tribunal in The Hague should be cared for by
Bosnian and not Croatian authorities.
"The madam is asking, on whose behalf only she knows, that Croatia
give up on Croats! She is ready to renounce and leave them to the
patronage of another state. The Croatian people will get even with her
and the Croatian Populists dare say it publicly," Zagar said.
He added that genuine populists knew and said, publicly and clearly,
that those "are our people, that they are part of the Croatian family
and people this Croatia should and wants to take care of instead of
pushing them away in an attempt to have someone else deal with the
problem".
Asked what he intended to do following the HNS' announcement that it
would ask for his resignation in the Zagreb City Government, Zagar
said he would ask the Social Democratic Party to say how it stood on
the matter and that if they decided he should resign he would do so.
Zagar thinks this will not happen because, he said, he left the HNS
because of the lack of morals and all other bad actions.
The HN party was recently founded by former HNS members who left due
to clashes with the HNS leadership.
