"All the talks we had in The Hague over the last couple of days were
held in a positive climate. The big change in what Croatia is doing to
join the EU and establish normal relations with (the tribunal) can be
felt here in The Hague," she said, adding that she expected the Meron
report on Croatia to be positive.
Skare-Ozbolt said her meeting today with the president of the
International Criminal Court, Gilbert Guillaume, had also been
positive, addressing some procedural issues concerning Croatia's
genocide claim against Serbia-Montenegro and relations in the region.
The Croatian delegation visiting The Hague included state prosecutor
Mladen Bajic, who submitted to the Office of the Prosecutor an
additional report on measures taken to trace and arrest General Ante
Gotovina, and the assistant justice minister for cooperation with
international courts, Jaksa Muljacic.
