the parliament hall at his request on Wednesday.#L#
Asked by Croatian Party of Rights deputy Pero Kovacevic why security
guards yesterday threw out photographers from the parliament, Seks
said he did not have anyone thrown out, but only asked photographers
to stop taking pictures after the session began.
Photographers today arrived in parliament wearing T-shirts displaying
copies of their parliamentary accreditations in A4 format.
Thursday's dailies report that the Sabor has tightened regulations for
media coverage of parliamentary sessions reportedly because a
journalist without an accreditation followed one of the sessions.
The parliament started the session with a debate about the State Audit
Office's report for 2002. The Office submitted information on audits
of the 2002 budget, the budgets of 568 local self-government units and
42 budgetary users and other subjects.
Submitting the report, Chief State Auditor Sima Krasic said the number
of irregularities was decreasing every year, however, only four
subjects operated without any irregularities in 2002.
Those are the ministries of European integration, education and
sports, and foreign affairs and the Employment Bureau.
After the debate on the report, MPs will discuss a report on the audit
of privatisation in 250 companies that was carried out in the period
between early June and late November last year.
