ZAGREB, March 29 (Hina) - Commenting on the first 100 days of the government's term, President Stjepan Mesic repeated on Monday that the government's activities in the field of foreign policy were transparent, but that the government
failed to move Croatia towards the creation of new jobs and economic revival.

government's term, President Stjepan Mesic repeated on Monday that the
government's activities in the field of foreign policy were
transparent, but that the government failed to move Croatia towards
the creation of new jobs and economic revival.#L#
Speaking about the economic situation in an interview with Croatian
Radio, Mesic called for the opening of free zones, which he said could
employ a large number of people and attract investors and modern
technology.
Mesic said that he had not been contacted by anybody in connection
with his statement that he was ready to testify before the war crimes
tribunal in The Hague as a witness for the defence of General Ivan
Cermak.
He also reiterated that he still had no information about the
whereabouts of General Ante Gotovina.
