ZAGREB, March 26 (Hina) - Croatia was granted full membership of the
CADSES programme at a session of the supervisory board of the Interreg
III B CADSES programme held in Budapest on March 25, the Croatian
European Integration Ministry said in a statement on Friday.#L#
Interreg III B CADSES refers to the transnational cooperation between
national, regional and local authorities. The programme defines 11
geographical areas and Croatia participates in the Central European,
Adriatic, Danubian and South-Eastern Space (CADSES).
After meeting all criteria for full membership, Croatia forwarded in
early March an official application for full membership in the
programme, which along with EU members Italy, Germany, Austria and
Greece was granted only to Slovenia and Hungary.
Full membership significantly changes Croatia's position in the
programme because it will enable it to participate, together with EU
member-countries and some accessing countries, in the selection of
EU-funded projects, says the statement.
