Speaking on behalf of the SDP club of deputies in parliament, Antun
Vujic said that the government-sponsored bill envisaged that a council
would include five instead of the current seven members and that the
Culture Minister instead the government would appoint them, and all of
this would annul the autonomy of the bodies in the decision-making
process in culture.
Vujic also criticised the incumbent Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic for
having dismissed five of his assistants, which he labelled as the
insistence of the new government on political criteria and
suitability.
