The handover takes place a month after a plane crash in which
Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski was killed. During the February
26 crash the flight controllers were French members of SFOR, who had
been conducting this duty since the civil aviation at Mostar's airport
was established five years ago.
Bosnian Transport and Communications Minister Branko Dokic said
however, that the handover of the flight control at Mostar's airport
should not be linked with the recent plane crash.
