TORDINCI, March 22 (Hina) - After 12 days of unearthing, the exhumation crews of the Department for Missing and Detained Persons within the Ministry for the Family, War Veterans Affairs and Inter-Generation Solidarity discovered a
mass grave near the eastern Croatian town of Tordinci, suspected of containing the remains of the victims of the Serb aggression. The remains have previously been buried in a mass grave outside the town's Catholic church.
TORDINCI, March 22 (Hina) - After 12 days of unearthing, the exhumation
crews of the Department for Missing and Detained Persons within the
Ministry for the Family, War Veterans Affairs and Inter-Generation
Solidarity discovered a mass grave near the eastern Croatian town of
Tordinci, suspected of containing the remains of the victims of the
Serb aggression. The remains have previously been buried in a mass
grave outside the town's Catholic church.#L#
So far, at least six bodies have been exhumed from the grave. which
originally contained more than 200 victims who were unearthed and
transferred to another location during the 1996 occupation of the
Croatian Danube River region.
The Minister for the Family, War Veterans Affairs and Inter-Generation
Solidarity, Jadranka Kosor, and members of associations of Homeland
War victims visited the exhumation site on Monday.
