Addressing reporters after today's session of the Council of Ministers
of Serbia and Montenegro, Marovic said that he was in contact with
international officials and that there was intensive international
diplomatic activity.
"German Chancellor Schroeder told me that Germany would insist on
urgently establishing peace and order and on a more efficient role of
KFOR so as to create, as soon as possible, conditions for dialogue,
which is the only possible way to start looking for a solution",
Marovic said.
Marovic said that in his conversations with Chirac and Schroeder he
had expressed deep regret about incidents which happened in Serbia and
which were condemned by the Serbian public.
"I informed them that the state has granted funds for the
reconstruction of damaged mosques in Nis and Belgrade," Marovic said.
