PRISTINA/KOSOVSKA MITROVICA , March 19 (Hina) - Kosovo Premier Bajram
Rexhepi, who toured the city of Kosovska Mitrovica on Friday, called
on citizens to discontinue protests so that bodies of authority could
carry out their duties and defuse the situation.#L#
Rexhepi said it was too early to analyse the causes of the latest
unrest. He, however, said that the biggest problem were parallel
structures of authority which had existed in the northern part of
Kosovska Mitrovica, and added that Serbs had rejected offers to be
included in the functioning of Kosovo institutions.
Associations of Kosovo veterans called on citizens to stop protesting
so that local and international institutions could work on defusing
the situation.
On Friday, the situation went back to normal in Kosovo and air traffic
via Pristina airport resumed after a day-long discontinuation which
was proclaimed by KFOR (international Kosovo Force) because of
security reasons.
