After the talks, Seks said they had discussed the development of
bilateral ties and Austria's experience in the strengthening of the
economy, particularly small and medium-sized businesses, and the
creation of new jobs.
Schuessel reiterated that Vienna strongly supported Croatia on its
road towards the European Union, adding that his country would
continue conducting the policy of good neighbourly relations and
partnership with Croatia.
The Austrian chancellor said also that Austria would advocate that the
international community respect individual achievements of each
country, particularly of Croatia in its bid to enter the EU, Seks
said.
Later in the day, a Croatian parliamentary delegation led by Seks
toured Burgenland where it met representatives of ethnic Croats in
that Austrian region.
On Wednesday, the Croatian delegation will hold talks with senior
members of the Austrian parliament.
