"Now it's up to Ante Gotovina to make a move. His appearance before
the tribunal will relieve him of a great burden and will help Croatia
get rid of a big problem," Hebrang told reporters during a break in a
government session in the southern city of Split.
Hebrang said the government could guarantee Gotovina professional,
moral and financial support in his defence before the Hague tribunal.
Asked to comment on his being in the public limelight as of late,
Hebrang said that was the result of his efforts as Health Minister to
restore order to the finance system of the health service.
