ZAGREB, Jan 27(Hina) - Following the example of the United States, the Croatian parliament could soon raise a flag in memory of detained and missing civilians and Croatian Homeland war soldiers, a deputy PM and the Minister for Family
and War Veterans Affairs and Inter-Generation Solidarity, Jadranka Kosor, said on Tuesday.
ZAGREB, Jan 27(Hina) - Following the example of the United States, the
Croatian parliament could soon raise a flag in memory of detained and
missing civilians and Croatian Homeland war soldiers, a deputy PM and
the Minister for Family and War Veterans Affairs and Inter-Generation
Solidarity, Jadranka Kosor, said on Tuesday.#L#
The flag would be placed in the parliament building and remain there
until light is shed on the fate of some 1,200 persons, who were
detained or went missing during the Serb aggression in Croatia, Kosor
said during question time in parliament.
The placing of the flag will be launched by the ministry for veterans
affairs, but it is not yet know whether the initiative would become a
law
Kosor said the ministry would try to solve as soon as possible issues
that are vital for the economic situation of the families of missing
and detained persons..
