The ICTY issued an indictment against Jovanovic last April for
contempt of court because in August 2002 his daily revealed the
identity of protected witness K32 during the Kosovo part of the trial
of former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic.
According to the indictment, Jovanovic admitted that the identity of
the protected witness was revealed in order to "increase the sales" of
the daily.
After his identity was revealed, witness K32 received numerous
threats, including death threats.
Jovanovic faces up to seven years in prison and a fine of up to
EUR100,000 if found guilty.
