Montgomery has been in the diplomacy since 1974. He held diplomatic
functions in the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia,
Tanzania, the former Soviet Union, Bulgaria, Washington, Croatia and
Serbia and Montenegro. He was an ambassador in Sofia, Zagreb and
Belgrade.
