ZAGREB, Jan 19 (Hina) - Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) leader Ivo Sanader said on Monday that "the excellent results" of his party at elections for the Osijek-Baranja County Assembly were the best comment on claims that HDZ voters
did not support some of his decisions.

elections for the Osijek-Baranja County Assembly were the best comment

The results prove that the electorate supports my policy, Sanader told
reporters at the government building where he held talks with the
leaders of parliamentary parties about his recent European tour.
The HDZ won Sunday's early elections for the Osijek-Baranja County
Assembly, securing 21 seats.
Jutarnji List daily today ran an opinion poll conducted by Media Metar
agency to see how HDZ voters assess the party's key moves after it
came to power. According to the poll, 70.4 percent of the HDZ's
electorate do not agree at all with the prime minister's statement
that the Serb minority is a treasure and not a problem, while 19.7
percent of the electorate partially agrees with the statement. Eighty
percent of the voters do not agree at all with the appointment of Serb
minority representatives to senior positions in ministries, while 79.6
percent do not support the announcement of full cooperation with the
Hague-based UN war crimes tribunal at all.
