ZAGREB, Jan 15 (Hina) - The number of tourists who visited Zagreb in the first 11 months of 2003 rose by 9.4 percent to 439,000 in comparison to figures from the January-November period in 2002.
ZAGREB, Jan 15 (Hina) - The number of tourists who visited Zagreb in
the first 11 months of 2003 rose by 9.4 percent to 439,000 in
comparison to figures from the January-November period in 2002.#L#
The number of foreign visitors rose by nine percent to 282,000,
according to figures released by the city's department for physical
planning and environmental protection. Germans made up the largest
portion of foreigners who visited the Croatian capital from January to
November 2003, as 34,000 German guests were registered. They were
followed by Italians (25,000) and Austrians (23,700).
The number of tourists who arrived in Zagreb from other parts of
Croatia rose by 1.6 percent to 157,000.
