ZAGREB, Dec 31 (Hina) - Upon assuming the office of Croatia's Prime Minister, Ivo Sanader received letters of congratulations from the U.S. President George Bush and Israeli Premier Ariel Sharon, the Croatian government's public
relations office said in a press release on Wednesday.

U.S. President George Bush and Israeli Premier Ariel Sharon, the

Bush wrote that Croatia had once again shown its strong commitment to
democratic values.
The U.S. President went on to say that his country knew that it could
count on the support of Croatia and its leadership to the fight
against international terrorism. He also expressed confidence that
joint values would be guidelines for the U.S.-Croatian cooperation
until the accomplishment of the joint goal, namely peace in a free and
united Europe.
The Israeli leader Sharon wished Sanader success, and expressed hope
that the two countries would advance their cooperation and
friendship.
